On November 29, Chairman Kim Chang Keon, General Director of TDC Group Choi In-chan, member of the Agency-partners of Eurasia Networks Group, and Deputy Director of Incheon Complex Energy Lee Kung-guk, who are on an official visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan, visited the Khokimiyat of Tashkent region and held talks with Governer Mirzaev on the development of a Korean-style New Town in the city of Nurafshan, which is actively promoted and a fire safety center is being discussed.
At this meeting, TDC Group, a representative of the consortium that prepared the master plan for the Tashkent-Nurafshan New City Development Project, presented the overall design and made specific proposals for the implementation of the project, as well as actively exchanged views on future schedules.
The new project will be developed in the city of Nurafshan, which is the largest city in the Tashkent region and the project area is 150 hectares, a large-scale park in the center and Korean-style high-rise apartments are planned on this site, the project also includes the creation of a business center, a hospital, a university, fire safety training center and international school, a consortium of seven companies, including one of Korea's leading construction companies, is actively preparing for implementation.
Meanwhile, the Nurafshan New City Development Project began with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in 2021, and a Business Agreement (MOA) was signed in September during the official visit of the Governor of the Tashkent region Mirzaev to Korea, and is currently awaiting final approval by the government Uzbekistan on land use and infrastructure support, and it is planned to start a full-scale project in the near future with the approval of the government.
