As part of his CSR activities, Chairman Kim Chang Keon has been working with the relevant ministries of both governments for over a year to build and donate a statue of King Sejong the Great in Seoul Park in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
In 2022, Chairman Kim Chang Keon donated a statue of Uzbek national hero and great thinker Alisher Navoiy in Seocho-gu, at Seoripul Park across from the Supreme Court in Seoul. After this donation, Chairman Kim Chang Keon initiated to building and donate a statue of King Sejong the Great, who is most revered by the Korean people, to Tashkent, the capital of the Republic of Uzbekistan, for friendly cooperation and future-oriented development between the two countries.
Chairman Kim Chang Keon explained that he was pleased and grateful to be able to donate statues of two people respected as national heroes in the capitals of both countries and that it was a great pleasure to carry out this historic work, contributing to the promotion of friendly cooperation between the two countries and providing a warm space and opportunity for overseas Korean residents to relieve their nostalgia.
