29th April, the South Korean delegation led by chairman Kim Chang Keon was received in Tashkent by the Minister of Health of Uzbekistan Abdukhakim Khadzhibaev. Kim Chang Keon informed about the readiness of the South Korean side to continue to work on collecting and sending humanitarian aid to Uzbekistan. He also said that KUBA is ready to implement a project to improve the health care system of Uzbekistan, namely the development of distance medical services. For the high-quality implementation of all activities within the framework of this project, the South Korean side will create a consortium of KUBA, Busan and Himchan National Hospitals. The parties expressed a common opinion that in the context of the pandemic, the national health care system of Uzbekistan faced great challenges, and there is an urgent need to improve the quality of medical services in remote areas and cities of the republic. It was especially emphasized that the creation of a nationwide system for the provision of remote medical services will make a huge contribution to the development and improvement of the quality of medical care for the population of Uzbekistan. At the end of the meeting, the parties reached agreements on cooperation and active promotion of the proposed project.
