On January 11, Chairman Kim Chang Keon visited the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan and met with Deputy Minister Sarvarkhon Buzrukhonov to discuss and agree on the establishment of a prestigious private university and international school, as well as the agenda and schedule of key meetings, as part of the official visit of Deputy Minister Sarvarkhon Buzrukhonov and his delegation, as previously reported.
After this, on January 23-26, Deputy Minister Sarvarkhon Buzrukhonov made a four-day official visit to the Republic of Korea, during which he held an official meeting with the Secretary of Education of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Korea, Mr. Shin Moon Kyu and the Director of the Department of Global Education of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Korea, Mr. Song Geun Hyun, organized by Chairman Kim Chang Keon, and a lunch dedicated to various issues of educational development in Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, Deputy Minister Sarvarkhon Buzrukhonov expressed deep gratitude to the Korean government for supporting the development of the educational sector of Uzbekistan, and the Korean Ministry of Education, in turn, proposed expanding teacher training programs, attracting students and carrying out student exchanges, as well as holding joint biennial Forum of University Rectors.
In addition, the parties agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding on the above-mentioned various programs during a state visit scheduled for this year, and Chairman Kim Chang Keon agreed to personally accompany and support related projects as an advisor to the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
