On July 9th, Chairman Mr. Kim Chang Keon visited the Republic of Uzbekistan at the official invitation of the government as an observer representing the Republic of Korea in the presidential election.
In addition to the official visit to the main election venue, the visit included a series of meetings with ministers of various government ministries and representatives of local governments to inspect and discuss various projects. Especially, in-depth discussions were held on new projects such as renewable energy, eco-friendly energy, and recycling power generation projects that the Uzbek government is strongly promoting.
The main meetings during the visit were with Minister of Ecology Mr. Aziz Abduhakimov, Minister of Energy Mr. Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov, Mayor of Tashkent Mr. Shavkat Umurzakov, Prosecutor General Mr. Nigmatilla Yuldashev, Governor of Fergana Region Mr. Hayrullo Bozarov, Governor of Namangan Region Mr. Shavkat Abdurazakov, Governor of Andijan Region Mr. Shukhrat Abdurakhmanov, and Governor of Syrdarya Region Mr. Akmaljon Mahmudaliyev, and in these individual meetings, major issues were actively discussed.
Meanwhile, in the presidential election in the Republic of Uzbekistan, President Mr. Shavkat Mirziyoyev was re-elected with 87.05% of the vote, paving the way for a seventh consecutive term. And the economic development and reform and open-door policies are expected to gain momentum and further develop, which President Mr. Shavkat Mirziyoyev has been promoting so far.
