On May 17, Chairman Kim Chang Keon was appointed as a policy advisor to Pyeongtaek City at the Pyeongtaek City Hall General Situation Room. The ceremony was attended and congratulated by Pyeongtaek Mayor Jung Jang Seon, Director of Planning and Port Economy, Son Jeong Ho, Director of Future Urban Strategy, Chung Hyung Min, and a group of policy advisors.
After the ceremony, Chairman Kim Chang Keon, along with Mayor Jung Jang Seon, city officials, and policy advisors, made official visits to Samsung Electronics' world-class semiconductor cluster in Pyeongtaek and the largest U.S. military base in the East to experience firsthand how Pyeongtaek is developing into a top global city.
Through the appointment of Chairman Kim Chang Keon as a policy advisor, Eurasia Networks Group and Pyeongtaek City are expected to carry out various cooperation and support activities regarding the tasks at hand, such as the invitation of highly qualified workers from Central Asian countries, and for Pyeongtaek-based companies to enter Central Asia.
Meanwhile, Chairman Kim Chang Keon expressed that he would fulfill his role to help Pyeongtaek City develop into a one million population special city and a global first-class city through active policy advisory activities.
