During his official visit to Uzbekistan, Chairman Kim Chang Keon visited Fergana on April 27, accompanied by Mayor Jung Jang Seon of Pyeongtaek City, heads of organizations under Pyeongtaek City, and representatives of major companies in Pyeongtaek. The visit was held at the invitation of the Governor of Fergana Region, Mr. Khayrullo Bozarov. In addition to getting informed about the Kokand Free Economic Zone, the delegation visited Korea International University in Fergana(KIUF), SAMO Exhibition Hall (exhibition hall for manufactured goods and specialty products produced in Fergana), and KOICA Vocational Training Center, as well as local companies in various industries to understand and check the local business environment through relevant information and explore opportunities for excellent companies in Pyeongtaek City to enter the local business market.
At the official meeting between Pyeongtaek City and Fergana Region, we discussed ways to send excellent industrial workers from Fergana to major companies in Pyeongtaek City, and an MOU was signed between the Pyeongtaek Chamber of Commerce and Fergana Region Chamber of Commerce. Furthermore, a three-party MOU was signed between the Korean International University of Fergana (KIUF) (an affiliate of Eurasia Networks Group), Jinwi Advancement Association, and the Pyeongtaek Industrial Complex Management to provide high-quality employment opportunities to graduates through on-demand training contracts
