On March 27, Governor Khayrullo Bozarov of Fergana Region, Chairman Kim Chang-keon, Regional Prosecutor Bakhtiyor Ismoilov, Deputy Governor Ikboljon Ergashev, and Counsellor of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan Alisher Abdusalomov, KIUF’s Rector Park Jun-ho and others visited Chungcheongnam-do. They had a meeting with Governor Kim Tae-heum, signed MOU for cities of friendship and cooperation, and discussed various matters.
During the meeting, there was a lot of discussion about human exchanges between the two sides, especially cultural exchange cooperation. As a first step, Chungcheongnam-do invited Governor Khayrullo Bozarov to participate in the Daebaekjaejeon Festival in the second half of this year, and Fergana Region invited the Governor of Chungcheongnam-do to participate in the Fergana Ceramics Culture Festival in September.
In addition, it was agreed to organize official visits to Uzbekistan with companies in Chungcheongnam-do to provide opportunities to enter the region and explore various business opportunities. In particular, both sides discussed actively promoting a project to send workers from Uzbekistan to companies in Chungcheongnam-do.
