On October 26-27, Chairman Mr. Chang Keon Kim was officially invited to observe the Uzbekistan parliamentary (upper and lower house) elections as a representative of the Republic of Korea.
On the 26th, when early voting was held, Chairman Mr. Chang Keon Kim visited the main areas of Tashkent and the prepared polling stations with Mr. Aminov, Deputy Chief Prosecutor of the General Prosecutor's Office, and on the 27th, he traveled to Gulistan, Sirdarya Region, to observe voting with Mr. Akmaljon Mahmudaliyev, Governor of Sirdarya Region, and Mr. Khayrullo Bozarov, Governor of Fergana Region.
Uzbekistan's parliamentary elections are held every five years by a democratic process and are held in a bicameral system with 65 members of the Senate (10 presidentially nominated and 55 elected) and 150 members of the House of Representatives (elected).
