On February 25, Chairman Kim Chang-keon was appointed as Trade Advisor for Chungcheongnam-do by Governor Kim Tae-heum.
Moving forward, Chairman Kim will actively support Chungcheongnam-do and major companies in the province, providing advisory services as they expand into overseas markets.
This year, for the first time, Chungcheongnam-do established and implemented an ordinance governing the operation of overseas trade advisors. On this occasion, Chairman Kim was appointed as an advisor for the Eurasian region, including Central Asia.
During the appointment ceremony, Chairman Kim delivered a presentation on business expansion into the Republic of Uzbekistan, highlighting Uzbekistan’s strategic position as a key hub of the New Silk Road and its potential as an emerging market. He also conducted one-on-one consultations with interested companies, receiving positive feedback.
Meanwhile, Chairman Kim currently serves as an International Advisor to Incheon Metropolitan City, a Policy Advisor to Pyeongtaek City in Gyeonggi Province, and a member of the Overseas Korean Support Council. Through these roles, he remains actively engaged in fostering friendship and economic cooperation between the Republic of Korea and Central Asian countries.
