On January 19, Governor Erkinjon Turdimov of the Syrdarya Region, Republic of Uzbekistan, and a regional delegation paid an official visit to the Republic of Korea.
On the first day of the visit, an official meeting and dinner were held with Chairman Kim Chang Keon. In-depth discussions and consultations took place regarding major initiatives
currently being promoted by the Evervolution Consortium, an affiliate of Eurasia Networks Group, including the Gulistan New City development project in the Syrdarya Region
and the establishment of a university.
During the meeting, particular focus was placed on the Gulistan New City development project, and the parties reached a mutual agreement to pursue the project in earnest within the first quarter of this year.
The official meeting was attended by Governor Erkinjon Turdimov, Deputy Governor Bobur Khudjamov, directors of key departments of the Syrdarya regional government,
Ambassador Alisher Abdusalomov of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Korea, and
Taegeun Jeong, CEO of the Gulistan New City Development Project Consortium and Managing Partner of Law Firm "LawL".
