On November 26, an official dinner was held at Lotte World Tower, which was attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Kamilov, Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Korea Vitaly Fen and Chairman of the Association Kim Yong Gu and Chairman Kim Chang Keon. At the meeting, Minister Kamilov expressed gratitude for the active and practical activities of the Korea Uzbekistan Business Association and shared his opinion that it is necessary to conclude a free trade agreement as soon as possible in order to resolve the existing trade imbalance between the two countries. He also asked the association to support the transfer of Korean advanced technologies for the production and processing of products, especially minerals and rare earth, to develop the export of these products to various neighboring countries. He also mentioned the expansion of trade to South Asia through cooperation with Afghanistan, which is currently being handled by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and expressed hope for Korea's cooperation in this area and targeting the South Asian market with a population of 2 billion, in addition to the domestic market of the Republic of Uzbekistan and CIS countries. In response, Chairman Kim Yong Gu and Chairman Kim Chang Keon thanked the central government of the Republic of Uzbekistan for their interest and support for the association, stating that they will continue to contribute to economic growth in both countries.
