Kim Du Kwan, a member of the Korean National Assembly (Chairman of the Construction and Transportation Committee), and Chairman Kim Chang Keon officially visited Uzbekistan in commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Korea and Uzbekistan. They also visited officially Uzbekistan for multilateral cooperation to promote friendly cooperation between the two countries and further strengthen economic cooperation.
On the 19th, they visited the Uzbekistan National Assembly to discuss various cooperative developments at the parliamentary level of both countries with Mr. Safaev, the first director. They also agreed to actively support the construction industry and related industries of Uzbekistan through direct investment by the outstanding firms in Korea at the parliamentary level of both countries. In commemoration of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries and the 85th anniversary of the settlement of Korean compatriots in Uzbekistan, discussions on support for the construction of the Korean Association Museum were also actively conducted.
During this visit, the TDC Consortium Group, which is promoting the Tashkent Nurafshon Korean New Town Development Project, also participated and agreed to carry out the project promptly with various exchanges of opinions.
Meanwhile, the TDC Consortium Group's big project to develop a new Korean city in Tashkent in cooperation with Eurasia Networks Group is expected to cost about $7.5 billion in building Korean apartments, a fire safety training center, a large hospital, a Korean university and attracting various Korean companies on the site of 150 hectares within Nurafshon administrative development site.
